Microsoft office suite skills are definitely a plus. Any experience using a platform on a computer would help as well. For example, in my previous job I used a platform for managing donations to the non profit. Now I use another platform that is different for volunteerism and grants. Just the day to day use of a system prepared me for the one I currently use.
Understanding people. Building emotional intelligence has helped me work successfully with different types of people. I can easily empathize with them and this allows me to build networks and lasting connections.

First things first. For any career, you need to get your house in order. If you set up yourself here you'll go far.
Quit spending your time/money on junk media, food, gadgets etc. Make yourself do little inconveniences everyday; this will prepare you for the rest of life. If you have any addictions, nip that in the bud. Get married sooner rather than later. Go to Church, a Catholic (Roman or Eastern).
If you do these, you will be the one eyed king in the land of the blind for whatever you do.
