Milestones

My road in life took a while to figure out.
Studied broadcasting in college but found my writing stood out among my peers.
Was looking for a challenging but stable career.
Based upon my writing ability, I thought law school was a good fit.
Did not enjoy law school itself but made many great friends.
After law school, I did not want to work in a law firm but wanted to focus on business.
Through a friend, I got an interview with my current company.
Outworked my peers to get the title and responsibility I have today.

Problem Solving

Day to Day

I respond to email first thing in the morning, review pending orders that are escalated to me, and work on special projects for the President of my company. Mixed in throughout I will talk to the HR directors of our clients (some Fortune 500 companies) and handle any other internal issues. Every day is different.

Advice for Getting Started

Here's the first step for college students

Get good grades in college and study hard for the LSAT. Where you went to college won't matter much in terms of law school admissions.

Recommended Education

My career is not related to what I studied. I'd recommend this path instead:

undergrad
Bachelor
doctorate
Doctorate
