My road in life took a while to figure out.
Attended UCF to be an electrical engineer.
Was put on academic probation at UCF.
Changed majors to statistics and actuary science.
Graduated from UCF in less than four years still. On the day of my last final was my first interview at Travelers.
Started Working at Travelers on February 2016 as a claim handler.
July 2016, I was diagnosed with cancer.
February 2017, I came back to work after treatment ended.
February 2018, started new role on First Party Medical team

Day to Day

The main part of my job is assigning claims to the First Party Medical team for Florida. Then I help with any mail that comes in or tasks that pop up.

Here's the first step for college students

Find a way to set yourself apart from the others. For me, it was my soft skills that others didn't have. Be open to starting something that is not your dream job. You have to work for most good things in life.
