Defining Moments
How I responded to discouragement
THE NOISE
Messages from Myself:
I felt pressured and unsure going to school for my bachelor's in kinesiology because I had difficulty and did not enjoy the courses, though that was the route at the time for me to become a physical therapist which was my goal.
How I responded:
“Persevere through everything; Even though I was close to failing and was doing poorly in school, I'd rather finish strong and push through getting my bachelor's. Before that, I was presented a lot of routes to take and my goal always changed. It isn't always a clear cut one path. There will always be many paths to take and they will eventually lead to your destination. Although I did not pursue kinesiology after graduating, it worked out in the end because of my faith and constant prayer.”
Experiences and challenges that shaped me
"Body scoliosis and autoimmune disease; I dealt with these issues by keeping my body healthy, from being mindful of what I intake, my nutrition, and by staying physically active. Having a peaceful state of mind and keeping faith that I'll heal."
