Milestones

My road in life has taken me all over.
I began studying to become an electrician in senior high school. I then wanted to go to the university.
I chose to study a BA in Chinese, whereas I did two years in China. Little did I know, it was impossible to find a job only knowing a tool.
I then chose to study a BA in accounting, since I was interested in numbers—thinking that I could become a businessman working towards the Chinese market. Again just a dream.
I finished by studying a master's in accounting and law, a program made for those wanting to become auditors. At that time, I knew what I wanted to do.

Day to Day

When working at the office: I arrive when I feel like, sit with whoever I want, and go through my list of things to do. Mostly many different audits open at the same time, whereas I receive client data every now and then. I then go and work on those engagements. When going to a client: we meet up at 8 outside the office and take a cab to the client. We then sit over there, ask the client for data or information when needed, and eat lunch at a restaurant.

Advice for Getting Started

Here's the first step for everyone

Getting an internship at an audit firm is a terrific way to ensure a future position at an audit firm. If you can't, get to know an auditor and make friends with him. He can recommend you to his colleagues as to help you join.
