Defining Moments

How I responded to discouragement

  • THE NOISE

    Messages from Society in general:

I had language and cultural barriers that I had to overcome. Some people made me feel bad about it, but most supported me and empathized with it, guiding me on how to be better.

  • How I responded:

I took accent classes to perfect my pronunciation, I studied, I observed, I gave myself some time to get to the point where I wanted to be, and I never stopped believing. I turned the anger that some people brought in me, into fuel for my hunger and motivation. The only obstacle between you and your goals, is you.
