My path in life took a while to figure out
1.
Undecided major for over a year while in college. I'm happy to have discovered my love for teaching art while doing art.
2.
Seeking another degree after 5 years in a teaching career. I had a desire to work at the college level but discovered that I needed a change of school.

THE NOISE
Messages from Society in general:
You need a backup plan! You can't make a living being an artist.
How I responded:
I wouldn't necessarily call it a back up plan but I would say to keep your options open. Don't limit yourself to only being an artist but discover additional routes to take while still having the opportunity to do something you love. It's not a job if it's your passion.
