Defining Moments
How I responded to discouragement
THE NOISE
I was told that I would get little pay, little respect, and should do something that would provide a better income.
How I responded:
I do still hear similar things when high school students mention they want to be an educator one day. I share that most of the time, the news and social media focus more on the negative stories than the positive. Although this career will not make me rich, it does provide a decent salary and offers me so much more than a paycheck. Being able to help guide students and parents in making difficult choices is very rewarding and add value to my life.
