When I first got into industrial work, my family thought I had lost my mind as I had been working in graphic design and advertising for several years.
How I responded:
It is never too late to change your course. Don't give up on yourself! Keep learning and adapting yourself to changing situations. Don't be afraid to start over if your current career is going nowhere fast. There are a lot of opportunities out there! Keep looking and believe in yourself.
Experiences and challenges that shaped me
My mom and dad both came here from Mexico. Mom stayed at home and did a great job raising us. Dad worked hard as the owner of a janitorial and landscaping company. I was the first one to finish college and it took a while as I got married young.
