Milestones
My road in life took a while to figure out.
Started at a large ad agency in Chicago to learn the fundamentals of the business.
Left the agency to work in a more creative environment for the Discovery Channel.
Came back home to Indiana to be with family.
Got married and had kids - which made me want to work harder for them.
Worked for a major public company but missed the smaller, entrepreneurial environment.
Came to work for this agency and was able to buy it with my partner.

I have never had the same day twice. My day consists of meeting with team members to solve our clients' communication problems, as well as meeting with clients to help understand their issues and sell our ideas.
Advice for Getting Started
Here's the first step for college students
Internships - work for free - anything to get some experience. Sometimes it is helpful to do marketing for a smaller company or non-profit because you get to do many things and learn more quickly on the job.
