My path in life has been direct

    Started taking technology classes in high school.

  • 2.

    Received technical certifications from my high school.

  • 3.

    Graduated with my associates in year.

  • 4.

    I received an offer from my community college to work as a cyber lab technician in there cyber security department that they were just starting.

  • 5.

    Coached and ran a cyber team at FCC.

  • 6.

    Became a member of the cyber padawans. Was captain for several competitions.

  • 7.

    Graduated with my Bachelors from UMUC.

  • How I responded:

    For those of you just starting out, you have a lot of work to do, but in the end it all pays off to be in the cybersecurity field. To be in this field you must be passionate to be constantly learning about the cybersecurity field because lets be honest it will not stop growing anytime soon. The cybersecurity field is constantly changing and it is a great time to be in this field!

  • My first time taking an online class I was actually nervous. I was scared that I actually may fail but my professors were very knowledgeable and supportive throughout my time at UMUC. I even had classmates help me get through some of my classes.
