My road in life took a while to figure out.
Always had a passion for journalism but felt like it was risky.
My college capstone class just happened to be centered around event planning and management.
I moved to Dallas, TX and took a contract position with AT&T as a Project Manager.
After 2 years of being a Project Manager, I was hired on full time by AT&T as Coordinator of Events.

A typical event day includes setting up the general session room and registration, checking attendees into the program, greeting and escorting event speakers, and interviewing program attendees on camera.

Here's the first step for college students
Get involved in some type of event planning, whether it be a campus or community organization. Enroll in event planning courses.
