A great day to me is linking the community in ways they never knew possible. I am a community ninja, connecting community initiatives and new ideas to each other to build and leverage capacity for our rural community. I am working to help our high school build a meaningful work based learning program. Inviting industry and students together to build their program that is beneficial for both parties.

Advice for Getting Started

Here's the first step for college students

Workforce Developers need innovative people that can facilitate industry to assist in training our national workforce. I would dig deep into facilitation of Sector Strategies, organizational development, online learning, and head toward the human side of engineering. Lean Manufacturing principles are AMAZING in all sorts of industry. Anything with a process and a desire to be more efficient. Boise State has a killer online MA and a certification in their engineering dept that hits all of these.
