Day to Day

Be available beyond school hours. Getting in early makes me available for any students who just need someone to talk to. They share school or family problems, or boyfriend / girlfriend concerns. Usually they just want someone to listen. It is a priceless way to help the young person feel cared for, which is the most important part of teaching. To help the students know their own worth. Teaching teenagers is in reality 20% curriculum, and 80% social skills.
