I start by reading education news, reviewing new research, policy debates, and innovative experiments being tried out at colleges. Then I spend time evaluating a potential investment in a company that I think will make a positive impact on student outcomes. I have lunch with an entrepreneur who is introducing me to her start-up. I get on a phone call with a VC partner who is updating limited partners on his fund's investments. I end the day by working on a strategy presentation for our board.
