Milestones

My road in life took a while to figure out.
First I just paid attention to what I like to do.
Then I looked to see if I could make a career out of it.
Once I found out that I could, I looked into a major that would fit into my career goals.
Once I got into that major, I learned the most that I could from my teachers and classmates.
In the last semester of my senior year I did my internship with my major focus.
Helped me to finally decide that I was on the right path and that is what I wanted to do as a career.

Day to Day

In the morning, I check my emails to see if anyone has replied to me. I look at my calendar to see what needs to be done for the week as well as what has to get done that day.

Advice for Getting Started

Here's the first step for college students

You have to expect rejection. Special Events is client based. It is a hard field to get into partially because it is such a small job market. Luckily, it has gotten larger over the years but it is still relatively small compared to other markets like medicine. Pick your head up, dust yourself off, and get back going again. As long as you believe in yourself, NOTHING can stand in your way.
