Defining Moments
How I responded to discouragement
THE NOISE
Messages from Friends:
You aren't going to make as much money working in a bank and you have to work weekends so why would you do it?
How I responded:
I worked really hard and learned all I could so that I would be able to obtain better positions and make more money. I explained to my friends that I really loved what I did and if I did well at my job I have many opportunities and I can make the money I need to support my family and be happy in work every day.
Experiences and challenges that shaped me
As a single mom I had to always have a plan to manage my work life and home life. I always made sure that my children were taken care of and I had back up plans in case something happened at work or a child got sick. It all works out if you plan ahead.
