Day to Day

My typical day varies a lot but I will give an example here. The typical day for me starts by responding to e-mails. Then, I will usually meet with my manager to discuss the progress I've made on the projects that I'm working on. After that I will continue to work on those projects. In the afternoon, I usually have a few meetings to attend which involve the projects that I'm working on.

Advice for Getting Started

Here's the first step for college students

In college it will be important to get an analytical degree and preferably in business. Good grades and strong business acumen will go a long way towards getting a career as a financial analyst. It will also be important to have internships and develop your skills during the summers between semesters.
