Advice for Getting Started

Here's the first step for college students

Get a Bachelor of Fine Arts and an MFA or MA (though I don't have a masters). Make films / photographs or take a class to experience making work. Get experience in community outreach and fundraising. Learn how to balance a budget. Learn software skills. Take leadership opportunities. Love film! Love photography! Love encouraging filmmakers!
