I program video games.
I go to the gym on campus, then get cleaned up and head to my desk. I update my local computer's code base, to synchronize with my coworkers. I then take a look at the days' tasks and begin work. Usually around 10 or 11 we have a meeting to make sure all is going smoothly. Then it's lunch at the campus cafeteria, and then back to work. I leave generally after 8 hours, unless the project has an immediate deadline or issues that must be resolved.

Practice, be in love with creating games, do it. Just write games, silly little games, anything. Have fun, it should be your passion, it should be easy to do this.
"You should pursue what you love."
