Director of International Tax

I use my love of numbers to prepare the taxes of global corporations.

My Day to Day

I manage all of the processes involved in the company's international tax compliance and filing. This means a deal with a lot of paperwork in order to prepare, document, and plan all business functions to be compliant. I work with various groups within the company and outside to foster relationships and work to optimize efficiency.

Advice for getting started

I never had the aspiration to go to college. It wasn't something I thought I would ever do growing up. I eventually decided to give it a try and my eyes were opened to a world of possibilities.

Here's the path I took:

  • High School

  • Bachelor's Degree

Life & Career Milestones

My path in life has been direct

  • 1.

    He grew up in a single-parent household in Dallas, Texas.

  • 2.

    Says that growing up without a father around inspired him to look to his community for mentors.

  • 3.

    When he was 18, his big dreams included becoming a professional football or basketball player, or becoming an actor.

  • 4.

    But when he got to high school, he realized everyone around him had a lot of the same dreams.

  • 5.

    He knew his plans had to change, and though he’d never planned on going to college, he ended up enrolling at Prairie View A&M University.

  • 6.

    Math was one of his favorite subjects in school, so he decided to major in accounting.

  • 7.

    After college, he launched his accounting career by taking a job at EY, one of the “Big Four” accounting firms.

  • 8.

    Says we wouldn’t change anything about his life, but if he had the opportunity to go back in time and tell his younger self anything, he’d tell himself to apply himself more in college.
