I started going to open mics when I was in high school.
2.
I earned my degree in audio arts from Columbia College Chicago.
3.
After graduating, I built my career as a musician, lyricist, and music producer.

I really found my identity in the field once I dove into the culture of hip hop.
5.
In 2018, I joined Guitars Over Guns as a site coordinator and rap mentor.
6.
I spent two years as a site coordinator, moved up to after school programs manager, and now work as the programs director for Guitars Over Guns.

In order to help my mentees be the best versions of themselves, I need to exemplify that myself. I've learned that I need to not exert myself too much and spend time focusing on self-care so that I can present the best version of myself.
