How Leaders Describe a Typical Day at Work

Office Specialist, Sr. ,

Barrett Honors College at ASU

I welcome students to the Barrett West Suite, assist them with requests and technical issues, and reach out to those who seem distressed. I also maintain the suite, purchase needed items, and manage the budget as well as staff calendars. Staff and Faculty are encouraged to participate in conversation with students and to model desired behavior.

EVP & Chief Administrative Officer ,

There is no typical day. For instance, all in one day, we may buy and sell key assets for the company, negotiate major contracts and lead strategic planning for corporate real estate or the Travelers Championship. I am also responsible for our company’s Procurement, Community Relations, Event Management and Internal Investigations departments. In addition to all of that, I serve on several community and civic boards.
