Day to Day

During the year, I wake up at 6:00 AM, do a workout, and then get ready to catch the bus to Boulder. I take an hour ride on the bus to Boulder and teach middle school English and AVID from 8:30-3:30. At about 4:30, I take the bus back to Denver. I go home, change into my fitness instructor uniform, and head to my fitness studio (two nights a week), where I teach two 30-minute cardio classes to my clients.

Hurdles

"Teachers don't make any money and it's a thankless job. It's very difficult to be a fitness instructor or a personal trainer if you do not come from a strong athletic background (which I did not)."
