My parents did not have much money to give to me after highschool. I had to make sure I prioritized saving and working over fun things like trips or hanging out with friends. It's an investment for freedom later.

I work from home, so I often will look at what I need to do for the day and schedule around that. For example, I have a lot of clients in different timezones or in other countries. Then I will make a list of what I need to accomplish that day. I spend time on phone calls, brainstorming, or working on my computer (with lots of breaks! they are important).

I had people tell me to maybe consider other pays, that my work wasn't good enough or that I was too far behind. Or I had older people tell me my career was a trend and not going to be around forever.
