How I responded to discouragement
THE NOISE
Messages from Teachers:
I had people tell me to maybe consider other pays, that my work wasn't good enough or that I was too far behind. Or I had older people tell me my career was a trend and not going to be around forever.
How I responded:
The most important thing is the truth. Your truth. Nothing else matters except what you genuinely feel like doing and what makes you happy.
Experiences and challenges that shaped me
My parents did not have much money to give to me after highschool. I had to make sure I prioritized saving and working over fun things like trips or hanging out with friends. It's an investment for freedom later.
