After my freshman year, I went to a different city and took some summer courses at a different college. Just what I needed!
After getting my master's degree from gsu, I worked another year or two in Atlanta, and then took off overseas, and have been here for 30+ years

Day to Day

I field dozens of phone calls and emails from non-profits looking for funding from the foundations I represent. I do forensic research of non-profits to see if they are worthy of a contribution, being sure that they are efficient and effective at what they do.

Advice for Getting Started

Here's the first step for everyone

Apprentice yourself with someone. Even if the pay is lousy and the location is awful, just get the experience. always easier to get a job when you have a job
