Messages from Society in general:
Much of the discouragement that I heard on the road to getting where I am today was laughter that I was even attempting to accomplish such goals. Sometimes it was heartbreaking,embarrassing and insulting, but I maintained my course! That is what matters!
How I responded:
Whenever I am in a tough situation or I am trying to accomplish any goal that is difficult, I always think about the next day or the next week and even the next year and say to myself "One day, I will be laughing about all of this"! A bad or stressful situation only last for a moment, but a great and meaningful decision last for a lifetime! "Make a great decision that is meaningful to you"!
Experiences and challenges that shaped me
There were times when I did not have the funding to continue my education so I would make sure that during the time that I was not in school, I would continue to read books that pertained to the subjects that I was studying.
