Defining Moments
How I responded to discouragement
THE NOISE
Messages from Parents:
You have to go ahead and start college right out of high school. It's not exactly negative, but it was not true. Not everyone is made for going to college. Sometimes you just need a break before going in too. Decide what you want to do first.
How I responded:
You parents want the best for you, but they often try to take you down the road they want to design for you based off their past experience. This doesn't always work. You should be able to choose your own path and career choice. The lessons you learn along that way, will make you the person you become.
Experiences and challenges that shaped me
I still struggle with some finances. The most difficult part is to stay positive. Move forward. Do your best with what you have and work hard to overcome your situation. Don't let it take over your life.
