Milestones

My road in life took a while to figure out.
Graduated from High School early.
Started UC with a major in Social Work but then changed my major after one semester to Pre Law.
After college, I took the first job I was offered... which just happened to be in HR.
Spent time at 2 companies in the HR field - focus was on benefits and recruiting.
Took some time off when my boys were younger to focus on being a mom.
Started at Hobsons. Worked part-time for about 5 years then decided to go full time.
Have been at Hobsons since and have progressed throughout my tenure. I'm now a HR Business Partner.

Day to Day

I work with people, for people, or on behalf of people from the time I wake up to the time I go to bed. All day, everyday! I love it and wouldn't change it for anything. It's in my DNA!

Advice for Getting Started

Here's the first step for professionals

You need to start from the bottom and work your way up. So much of what you need to learn comes from experience, and not necessarily what you learn in school. Although, in order to get in the door at any company, you need a degree.

Recommended Education
