Milestones

My road in life took a while to figure out.
I found an old film camera with an accordion and I was intrigued.
A year after I had the opportunity in my school to take a photography class.
For the first time I got into a dark room and developed and printed my own film and photos!!!
I started winning school photo competitions.
I knew then I would study photography and be a photographer.
I got admitted to the university I wanted in order to study photography.
I started several projects by myself and with my colleagues.
Those paid off and now I am a professional photographer.

Advice for Getting Started

Here's the first step for high school students

You should feel an attraction to images and story telling through them. Then you should start taking photos and see if you enjoy the process. If yes, then you should study photos from photographers you like and also study art and composition.
