Milestones

My road in life took a while to figure out.
Loved learning.
But I had a philosophy degree.
So I got an entry level job at a learning organization I admired.
Then I kept applying for better jobs inside that org.
Then I landed with a good boss who encouraged me.
Then I suggested we could do more online.
And they said, OK kid, give it a try.
And I have never stopped.
Keep following my journey

Advice for Getting Started

Here's the first step for college students

Find some area you can be an authority in, and grow that skill or area. With news / media companies today, there is both an expectation of multimedia skills, and specialty area. For example, someone decent at writing, social media, reporting, and a special interest in X (e.g. education technology).

Recommended Education

My career is not related to what I studied. I'd recommend this path instead:
